Just a quick note to thank you for the trip to Senegal this week, and for the invitation to come. I thought it was a huge success on all levels (lack of sleep on the way home last night apart!), and a lovely group of people into the bargain. I feel inspired to help Kemi Malaïka in future, and have already spoken to Costa about doing so. In the meantime, I’ll send you the magazine articles that I produce from the trip – one next week and one the following month.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for, firstly, the invite out to Senegal; secondly, all the help and assistance you gave us out there; and, last but not least, Caroline, the fashion advice! The whole experience was absolutely amazing and the relaxed nature of the trip was one of the biggest reasons for that. Johan’s personality certainly helps, but other management teams would have done their utmost to keep their player at arm’s length from the media and would have been constantly winding-up interviews with their client.

So thanks – it’s very much appreciated (maybe you can pass your methods onto others in the industry!) Hope you guys had a good (and not too stressful) time too – and hopefully you don’t regret inviting us out there?! Apologies again for the over-enthusiastic approach of the CBBC people prior to the trip - but it’s something we didn’t really have any control over. In future we’ll try and ensure they come to us rather than you. Have a good weekend and, hopefully, see you both again soon. Many thanks, Mark
